Rising to fame in the late ’70s with his band The Crowns and the hit “Party Weekend,” Carrasco brought border-town rock ’n’ roll to international audiences, even collaborating with Michael Jackson on the song “Don’t Let a Woman (Make a Fool Out of You).** A member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame and recipient of the Texas Music Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Carrasco continues to tour and record, blending tequila-fueled fun with a deep love of Mexican and Texas musical traditions.
